Blair’s govt. has actually been doing some interesting pro-democracy things recently, like setting up a petition site to make it easier for Britons to petition the govt.
I don’t know how they got them to sit in a cab together.
there was a great insight in private eye once. apparently there was a meeting with the press in a room in downing st. one journalist was hanging around the corridors as Tony and Goron came down it. As they approached the door, the aide said, ‘start talking!’ as they came into the room, as if they had been in friendly conversation all the time!
